This feels like my most vunerable post to date. Usually I don’t share much about the work I do with the land but, after a breakthrough I experienced at the Hill of Tara, it feels like something to be shared.

I’m delighted to announce Sacred Sessions Ireland is back! I had plans to connect us with Slieve Gullion, a sacred site located in Armagh and I spent quite a bit of time creating the class and meditation but was told to “wait - let us begin again, and this time, let us begin at the heart.” So, here I am, sharing a breakthrough I experienced at the Hill of Tara which turns out, is a hub or Centre of Light rooted at the heart of our Emerald Isle.

I’ve been working with Divine energies since I’m 12 years old but it wasn’t until 2014 when I moved to Vancouver and began formal training in the healing arts. After 7 years of living overseas, I felt the call to return home to Ireland and use the skills I’d learned to reconnect with the land and follow my Soul’s calling. For the first year home, I didn’t work and instead, devoted myself to sacred land, providing support where needed and bridging people to the medicine of these sacred sites.

My first stop when moving home was Trim, Co. Meath and I had no idea at the time that I was moving to the home of Ireland’s most powerful sacred sites! How blessed I was to have Hill of Tara as a beloved neighbour! From my first visit to Tara, I knew this site was incredibly complex and so, it took time to build a strong and beautiful relationship with the land, including the mighty guardians who protect their sacred home. But it would be another few years before the veil was lifted and my work really began.

Lifting the Curse

Hill of Tara is a 5000 year old sacred site located in Co. Meath and is known as the ancient seat of the High Kings. In Irish mythology, Tara is referred to as the entrance to the Otherworld and was the sacred place of dwelling for the Tuatha de Danann; a supernatural race who inhabited Ireland before the first Gael people arrived. There is much to share about the Hill of Tara which I began exploring in a previous meditation Self Realization with Hill of Tara.

In 433 AD, when St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland, he visited many of our sacred sites including the Hill of Tara with a mission to challenge the most powerful site in Ireland and banish the religion at the time, Paganism. The druids and High Kings who resided at Tara did not take kindly to this ‘new’ religion being imposed and legend says, after a battle of powers, St. Patrick placed a curse on the Hill of Tara.

This curse can be referred to as the curse of Christianity which began at Hill of Tara and subsequently impacted many, if not all, of the sacred sites in the Republic of Ireland (maybe even the entire Island). This curse which once blanketed the land acted as a barrier between the land and the people, cutting us off from nature and as a result, cut us off from our true nature. We were once a people deeply connected to the land, moving with the cycles and rhythms of nature and living in reverence to Mother Earth but when St. Patrick ‘drove the snakes out of Ireland’ we learned that heaven above our heads and hell was beneath our feet. We became conditioned to look for answers outside of ourselves rathering than looking within.

This curse has been lifted and through sharing with friends I recently found out that I was not the only person working to heal spells, curses and layers of conditioning from Christianity (and other religions) in fact, there were many people working on this revelation. Since the curse of Christianity was lifted at Tara on March 13 2024, it’s had a massive ripple effect revealing what feels like ‘new’ energy but is in fact ancient. I’ve allowed myself plenty of space to recalibrate as so much has shifted and for the better.

Centre of Light

So, what was this curse hiding?

Hill of Tara can be seen as the hub of our Irish sacred sites. It is a Centre of Light which feeds many of the sacred sites in Ireland weaving a web of healing light beneath our feet. It makes sense why St. Patrick placed a curse on the most powerful site in Ireland knowing that the ripple effect would be immense. Just like Ireland, we too have our own Hill of Tara, our own Centre of Light where our innate Self resides. This is the part of us that holds the bigger pictures and parts of our Self that go beyond our human body. Our centre of Light, which many believe is the heart centre, is the part of us that knows our Soul blueprint and why we came here.

What to Expect

In my opinion, the Hill of Tara has many healing properties but primarily supports us in deepening our connection to our true Self and purpose. Tara works to heal and release any insecurities and limiting beliefs we have around unworthiness or feeling less than, so we can embody more of our Divinity. This is self-actualisation energy that promotes a healthy sense of self, increased self-esteem and confidence. In this session, connect with the Hill of Tara and practice honouring this sacred land before receiving a healing and blessing to release the layers of conditioning which dim your Light.
